Who we are

eMediaLinks is operated by Geysir Ltd ("we", "us", "the Company") in partnership with PropTexx. We provide an AI-powered global real estate portal for international buyers, with a particular focus on Chinese-speaking buyers searching for property in markets including the United States, Singapore, the Philippines, Malaysia, Spain, Portugal, and others.

What we collect

We collect three categories of information:

• Information you give us — your name, email, phone number, WeChat ID, language preference, and any messages you send to agents through our enquiry forms.
• Browsing behaviour — pages viewed, searches performed, listings clicked, time spent. We use this to improve search relevance and to give agents anonymised insights into demand.
• Technical information — your IP address, browser type, device type, and approximate geographic location (country/city level).

How we use it

• To match buyers with relevant property listings using our AI search.
• To pass enquiries to the listing agent so they can respond to you directly.
• To improve search quality, personalisation, and Chinese-language descriptions.
• To prevent fraud, abuse, and bot activity.
• To send you alerts about saved searches, only if you opt in.

We do not sell your personal data to third parties.

Where your data is stored

For users browsing from China and the Asia-Pacific region, your data is stored on AliCloud servers in the cn-hangzhou region in mainland China, in compliance with Chinese data residency requirements under the Personal Information Protection Law (PIPL). For users from other regions, data may be stored in equivalent regional facilities.

Your rights under PIPL and GDPR

You have the right to:

• Access the personal data we hold about you.
• Correct inaccurate data.
• Request deletion of your account and associated data.
• Withdraw consent for marketing communications at any time.
• Request data portability — a machine-readable copy of your data.
• Lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.

Cookies

We use essential cookies for authentication and session management. We do not use advertising cookies, behavioural tracking cookies for ad targeting, or third-party analytics that fingerprint your device. We use Plausible Analytics, a privacy-respecting alternative that does not use cookies and does not track individuals.

Sharing data with agents

When you submit an enquiry on a listing, we share the contact details and message you provided with the listing agent. The agent may then contact you using the channels you provided (email, phone, WeChat). The agent is independently responsible for how they use that information and for complying with their local data protection law.

Children

eMediaLinks is not directed at children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have, please contact us immediately.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. Material changes will be communicated via email (where we have your email) or via a notice on the homepage at least 30 days before they take effect.
